Early bird registration open until Aug. 23, 2013 for CHTA Caribbean Travel Marketplace 2014

The Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association (CHTA) has opened early bird registration for the 32nd Caribbean Travel Marketplace through Aug. 23, 2013 with Jamaica hosting the Caribbean’s largest and most important marketing event Jan. 12-14, 2014 at the Montego Bay Convention Centre.

Buyer registration is $299 per person (after the third buyer delegate, the fee is reduced to $99 per additional delegate) and includes pre-scheduled appointments (if registration is received before Dec. 13, 2013), listing in the electronic Delegate Directory, opening cocktail reception, closing dinner, coffee breaks, entrance to all business and social functions, roundtrip airport/hotel transfers and shuttle bus service between host hotels and the Montego Bay Convention Centre.

Supplier participation at Caribbean Travel Marketplace requires the purchase of a booth. Early bird supplier delegate registration is $329 per person for registrations received by Aug. 23, $349 for registrations received Aug. 24 – Oct. 1 and $429 per person for registrations received after Oct. 1. The registration fee includes pre-scheduled appointments (if registration is received before Dec. 13, 2013), listing in the electronic Delegate Directory, opening cocktail reception, closing dinner, coffee breaks, entrance to all business and social functions, and shuttle bus service between host hotels and the Montego Bay Convention Centre.

Wholesalers, tour operators, meeting planners and suppliers can register via: http://www.caribbeanhotelandtourism.com/events-mp/event-mp-register.php. Log-in codes for online registration have been sent to all previous qualified participants. Those who have not received a log-in code should contact CHTA at events@caribbeanhotelandtourism.com. If a log-in code or password is lost or forgotten, there is a feature located on the registration page which can assist delegates with accessing registered accounts.

Caribbean Travel Marketplace 2013 saw an increase in pre-scheduled business meetings between buyer and supplier companies with 12,476 appointments scheduled in advance which is 226 more appointments than the 2012 edition of the event. Another positive highlight from Caribbean Travel Marketplace 2013 was the increase in international buyer interest with 22 countries represented, an increase of fourmore countries over 2012.

Additionally, buyers from five new countries participated in the region’s premier marketing event including 15 companies from France as well as delegates from Belgium, China,Ireland, Poland and Switzerland. The event also had six more companies register from Italy versus 2012 registration.
